Where wear starts

Splashed from underneath

Elsewhere in a salon, a chair only gets wet when something spills on it. A pedicure chair takes water up from the basin during every service. The seat front, arm pads and footrest catch the spray, which is why most pedicure chair reupholstery CT owners request begins with those parts.

Stations beside a basin or bowl

Pedicure, shampoo and treatment seating all face that issue. Styling chairs and full salon floors have their own pages: salon chair reupholstery and salon upholstery.

How water reaches the foam

Covers seldom give out mid-panel. They give out along the stitch lines, which is where water works its way down to the foam.

Cover choice

Built for constant cleaning

Close to the basin, a cover must handle water and repeated wipe-downs. Seating farther off leaves you more options.

The process, step by step

  1. Send chair photos

Shoot the full row, a close-up of the most worn chair, and the maker's model plate if it has one.

  2. Pads and cover chosen

Using your photos, we decide which sections get new covers and which material fits.

  3. A written price

Quoted per chair and per row.

  4. Back in service

The same chairs return with recovered pads, set for your next client.

Care tips

Dry the stitching too

After every client, dry the arm pads and footrest, then draw the cloth along the seams, since that is where water collects. Read disinfectant labels, because certain products are harsh on vinyl. A small split found early is often repairable, but a pad with wet foam has to be recovered. Massage recliners are covered under massage chair repair.

FAQ

Pedicure Chair Questions

Common questions about pedicure chair reupholstery CT salon owners send us.

My pedicure chair keeps splitting along the seams. Why?

Because the water comes up from underneath. With each client the basin splashes the seat front, the arm pads and the footrest, and the seams let it through to the foam. Once foam is soaked it breaks down, and the cover tears along the stitch lines.

Can you recover only the footrest or the arm pads?

In many cases. Seat cushions, arm pads and footrest pads tend to be separate pieces, so each one can get a new cover by itself in a color that matches.

Will new covers match the chairs I already have?

We match grain and color using photos and samples. If you want chairs that look identical, recovering the full row is the safest route.

Do you service the jets, the plumbing or the massage functions?

This service is limited to upholstery: the covers on the seat, back, arms and footrest, plus the padding beneath them.

How do I get a quote?

Send photos of the chairs by text to (347) 310-7483, by email to office@leatherrestorepro.com, or through the free estimate form.
