Furniture Restoration CT

Topcoats gone flat, color worn through to the hide and leather dried stiff by heated winters, across club chairs, wingbacks and chesterfields, stripped, nourished, recolored and resealed to a low sheen. Country club furniture restoration CT clubs can plan from close-up photos.

Three layers

Topcoat and color can be renewed. The hide cannot.

Every leather club chair is built in three layers. We can renew the upper two; the condition of the third decides if the job is worth doing.

Surface or hide: settle it before any quote

Bend the leather across its worst crack. If the crack closes up and the hide beneath feels supple, only the finish has failed, and refinishing will work. If the crack gapes open into the fibers, the hide is spent and new leather is the answer. Country club furniture restoration begins with that one test, and close-up pictures are usually enough to read it.

Before and after

A wingback with its finish renewed

Stripped, nourished, recolored and given a low-sheen seal on the hide it was built with. That is the result country club furniture restoration CT clubs should expect from leather that passes the flex test.

Tufted pieces

Chesterfields, one button at a time

Deep tufting traps dirt in every crease, so each button pocket is cleaned by hand before any color goes on. Lounge pieces that sag as well as fade belong on lounge seating reupholstery.

How we work

Five stages, always in this order

After that comes a sealing coat at the right sheen, given time to cure properly. Single faults rather than a tired surface are covered on country club furniture repair.

Clean and strip

Grime and the failed finish come off.

Nourish the hide

Conditioner soaks in once the old coat is off.

Rebuild the color

Applied thin, tuned to the room.

How it works

  1. Send close-ups

The worst crack, bent, plus the whole chair.

  2. Hear the verdict

    Surface or hide.

  3. Receive a quote

A written number for each piece.

  4. Sealed

Low luster, to suit the paneling.

Low luster, never showroom shine

A restored club chair ought to look well kept, not brand new. We seal the topcoat to a low luster so it settles in among the older pieces.

Questions

Club Restoration FAQ

What Connecticut house committees want to know about country club furniture restoration CT work.

How can we tell if a club chair is restorable?

Cracks confined to the finish, over supple leather, mean it can be refinished. Cracks that gape into the fibers mean new leather.

Will a restored chair look brand new?

It should not, and it will not. The low-luster seal keeps it looking like part of the library.

Do you restore tufted chesterfields?

Yes. Every button pocket is cleaned by hand before the color is rebuilt.

What if just one panel has gone?

We refinish the group and replace that one panel in matching leather.

How do we get country club furniture restoration CT pricing?

Text a few close-ups of the deepest cracks plus a full shot of each piece to (347) 310-7483, email them to office@leatherrestorepro.com, or send them through the free estimate form.
