The case for custom

Store pads are the wrong shape

Store pads are rectangles; few seats are. They shift, gap at the back corners and go flat within months. Every seat cushion replacement CT job we take on begins with the outline of your actual seat.

MeasuredWe work from a paper template or exact measurements, with the corners and tie points marked.
Cut to shapeThe foam follows that outline at the thickness you want, and a wrap keeps its edges sharp.
CoveredChoose leather, vinyl, linen or outdoor fabric, finished with piping, ties or a zipper.

You may not need a new cover

A leather cover that is still solid, with only wear or a split seam, can often be fixed and given fresh fill rather than thrown out. Sofa back and seat cushions have their own page: sofa cushion replacement. Leather covers are covered under leather cushion repair.

Questions

Seat Cushion FAQ

Common questions about seat cushion replacement CT clients send us, with related pages below.

My seat has an odd outline. Can you still make a cushion?

Yes. We cut round, wedge, curved, L-shaped and T-shaped seats from a template of the real seat. That fit is why people choose seat cushion replacement CT service over a pad from a store.

Is it possible to reuse my cover with new foam?

Often. The cover must be in good shape and zip open or open at a seam. Fresh foam is then cut to fill it.

Which foam works for a dining chair?

Most dining seats get high-density foam because it is firm, gives support and resists flattening. Where people sit longer, the softer high-resilience type is a better fit.

Can you make pads for patio chairs?

Yes. We build them with draining quick-dry foam, cover them in outdoor fabric, and add ties so they stay put.

What do you need to quote the job?

Photos of the seat and the current cushion, plus rough sizes. Text them to (347) 310-7483, send them to office@leatherrestorepro.com, or fill in the free estimate form.
