Pieces we make

Sized for your space, not a catalog

Construction

What sits beneath the cover

The hidden structure determines a piece's lifespan. Our custom upholstery CT furniture is made with traditional methods.

  • Hardwood frameJoints that are glued and screwed, never stapled into particle board.
  • Webbing or springsMatched to the seat: woven webbing, sinuous springs or coils tied by hand.
  • High-resilience foamCovered in a Dacron wrap to keep cushions plump and even.
Reasons to go custom

When retail furniture falls short

Why homeowners from Greenwich to Glastonbury ask us to build to order.

Odd layouts

Bay windows, slanted ceilings and slim townhouse living rooms.

Hard access

Older staircases and doorways too tight for a standard sofa.

Precise fit

A breakfast-nook banquette or a bench sized for the foot of a bed.

Your material

The leather or fabric you want, not one of three options on a showroom sample.

What goes into a custom upholstery job?

The whole piece, made to your size and taste: frame, springs, foam, cover and details. Custom upholstery CT customers usually want a sofa for an awkward wall, a kitchen-corner banquette, or a chair in a material no store carries.

Could you make something like a piece I have seen?

We work from a picture, a drawing or furniture you own, scaled to your dimensions. We do not reproduce branded designs line for line.

Is it OK to supply my own fabric?

Yes. Let us know the fabric and the amount you have, and we will check that it is heavy enough for upholstery and work out the yardage required.

Will the piece make it into my house?

Door, hallway and stair sizes are checked before the final dimensions are set, and big pieces can be made in sections.

Do you build custom pieces for restaurants and offices?

Yes. We make banquettes, booths, benches and lobby seating with the same methods, using commercial-grade foam and fabric.

How do I get going?

Text (347) 310-7483 or email office@leatherrestorepro.com a picture of the space, approximate dimensions and any images that inspire you.

Next step

Text us a picture of the space

A shot of the room, approximate dimensions and an image of a style you like are all it takes to begin a custom upholstery CT job. We build nothing until you approve the design.
