Four clues the foam is done

Helping new foam stay even

Some simple habits keep the foam level for years.

Turn them over

Flip and rotate the seat cushions every few weeks so wear spreads out.

Trade spots

Every so often, move the most-used cushion to a seat that sees less use.

Plump the backs

Fiber-filled back cushions stay full with a quick fluff.

No jumping

Standing and bouncing flatten foam much faster than sitting does.

Will I need new covers, or only new foam?

In most cases only the foam. With sofa cushion replacement CT customers keep the covers they already have, leather or fabric, and we change what sits inside. A torn or worn cover is a job for leather cushion repair.

Can the new foam feel like my other cushions?

It can. We press-test a cushion you are happy with and match its density, or we go softer or firmer if you would rather.

My cushions are sewn on with no zipper. Is that a problem?

No. Attached cushions are opened at a seam, filled again and stitched shut with thread that matches.

Can back cushions be redone as well?

They can. Back cushions are usually fiber or a foam-and-fiber mix, and they go flat the same way seat cushions do.

How many years will new foam hold up?

Quality high-resilience or high-density foam keeps its shape for many years, far longer than the low-density foam a lot of sofas ship with.
